Saturday November 11, 2017 I attended Tracie Maglosky's Wedding Bootcamp at Glen Magna Farms Hosted by Hunts Photo and Video and sponsored by Olympus.
The first half of the morning was a great presentation on running a wedding photography business. It had many insights on how to make sure your couples end up having the best experience possible. I am always trying to learn from other photographers so that I can tweak my processes and procedures to make things easier on my couples. I strive with everything we do to make it so the couple is never worrying about the photography and can concentrate on all the other aspects of the wedding planning. Then on the wedding day my goal is to do whatever I can to allow the couple to just enjoy their day without worrying. Tracie had many great insights on how to improve on processes and procedures to do that.
The second half of the morning was on improving your actual photography and taking pictures. All the pictures in this post were from the second half of the day. There was a bride and groom on site at the beautiful Glen Magna Farms to photograph. This location is somewhere you could spend all day exploring and finding great spots for taking portraits. Tracie taught posing indoors and out with natural light and using flashes.
Overall it was a great learning experience. I believe that with photography there is always more that you can learn. That is why I still attend training sessions and workshops. I want to be able to provide my brides and grooms with the most up to date techniques, editing and products that are currently available. Thank you Tracie for a fun day of learning.
